Gwangmyeong Caves is a tourist attraction in Gwangmyeong City, a city bordering Seoul in South Korea. The Gwangmyeong Caves were silver and gold mines that operated in the years of 1912-1972. In 2011, the city government, purchased, and re-developed the cave complex as a tourist attraction.
Syntegrate, one of Dassault Systèmes top BIM partner, have been hired by the Gwangmyeong City Government to create its terrain and geological model, using 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA.
Discover below the story of its transformation, in CATIA, and the challenges the team faced to develop it. With a didactic video, featuring Seonwoo Kim, Director of Syntegrate LLC in Korea.
In this video Syntegrate will present the 4 Key Benefits reached with CATIA:
1. Integration of terabytes of topological data
2. Geometrically complex terrain model creation to allow precise planning of civil engineering design and construction
3. Downstream usage of design data for CNC fabrication
4. Real time sharing of design development on the cloud.
