From a DWG file to 3D thanks to Xgen!

While investigating how to recreate in 3D the positions of 2D Dittos (representing Electrical Equipments) from a dwg file (in the context of the Bouygues Project) I found this powerful method by using Xgen.

Xgen is able to scan a 2DLayout View and see all the Dittos inside with their properties ( position, orientation and name).

Thanks to that we can easily extract all this information and create an Axis System correctly oriented for each Electrical Equipment .

Regarding the Elevation of the Equipment, since it has to meet standards, based on the Name of the Equipment you know which type of equipment it is and then you know at which elevation it has to be.
