The previous article was about automation in the design stage, and this article is about automation in the engineering stage.

Detail-level information can be inserted into the surface created at the design stage. For example, even for the same type of glass panel, the surrounding details may vary depending on the location, and a detailed template suitable for this location information can be instantiated.

Also, even after inserting the detail template, the top-down parametric modeling technique created in CATIA is applied, so it still becomes a parametric model. This means that when the design model belonging to the upstream is modified, it can be automatically reflected in the detailed model belonging to the downstream, and each detail can be adjusted again by modifying the parameters of the detailed model itself.
