How Can we build detailed cost information by generative approach?

You may have seen a lot of details being created automatically using CATIA.

Today, we will go one step further and learn how to create costing information in CATIA and manage it on the platform.

Being able to create detailed shapes also means being able to do detailed costing. but also you may want to control them not only one time.

Reason Behind:

• Once automation finishes with the full details, we want to know how much it costs for material, manufacturing, installation, etc.
• Costs must be updated in response to the type and quantity of materials.
• Costs must be updated by setup with the unit cost and currency.

here are steps that I will introduce today.

Solutions:

• Build a Parameters Set for each Detail Component.
• Build a Classification to link between CATIA and PLM System.
• Build a result by applying Template and automation.
• Users will have control to change Unit Cost, Currency, etc.
• The project manager will have control of the costing attributes in the 3DExperience Platform.
