In ScienceCloud, your username and email address are unique identifiers used throughout all hosted applications. We often receive questions from users about updating their username or email address associated with their ScienceCloud account. Note that updating your account information requires assistance from BIOVIA Support.
To update your username, Support will invalidate your email address associated to the old username, create a new user account with the new username, and assign the current email address to the new account. You will then receive a registration link. Note that this account will be considered an entirely new and separate account from the previous one. Any data will need to be merged or transferred to the new account on the application side.
To update your email address, Support will simply replace the old email address with the new email address. This action will not affect any application data or ownership.
