ScienceCloud Experiment Team Admins now have the ability to create User Groups to manage project membership and permissions for a set of users. Users within a User Group will inherit their project permissions from the group's project(s).
This provides an efficient way to manage user permissions at a Group level instead of at the User level.
To create a User Group:
1. Click the "Groups" tab at the top of the Administration Page(wrench icon).
2. Click "+Add" in the Groups page
3. Enter the group name and a description of the group's function. Click "Save".
4. Click "Projects" to the left of the group.
5. Highlight the projects that the group will need access to and click ">". Click "Save".
To add a User to a User Group:
1. Select the User in Users Admin.
2. Click "Experiments" under Additional Settings.
3. Check the Group(s) to add the user to. Click "Save".
Note: This feature is currently only available to ScienceCloud Experiment Users.
