BIOVIA Request
Description
This notification is to provide you an update on BIOVIA's Support for BIOVIA Request. First, Request customers should note that, due to underlying architectural restrictions, Request is not compatible with any version of BIOVIA Workbook beyond BIOVIA Workbook 2020. Secondly, this notification serves as a reminder that BIOVIA Request will no longer be supported after 31-Dec-2023 in accordance with our internal obsolescence processes. Although this date is relatively far in the future, we want to give Request customers enough time to plan for the change. Until December 31, 2023, we will provide support for BIOVIA Request as follows:
- Responses to questions, troubleshooting and providing workarounds for issues reported through DSxCC.
- Previously released Hot Fixes and Service Packs will be available, if needed.
- BIOVIA will not consider new fixes, patches, special releases or the addition of any changes to the 3rd party operating system or database server versions from what is published in the Hardware and Software requirements for Request.
- FAQs and Technical Notes will be accessible via the BIOVIA Support website (http://3ds.com/support/news).
For both customers that wish to upgrade to a more recent version of Workbook and customers that would like to transition out of BIOVIA Request before it is fully retired, we are pleased to inform you that BIOVIA Task Plan offers comprehensive support for Sample and Task Creation, Lifecycle Management and work Requests. Additionally, Task Plan offers direct integration with BIOVIA Workbook as well as BIOVIA Compose/Capture with broad support for pulling instrument results directly into the application. This application is available today and can be directly swapped for your existing Request licenses.
We strongly encourage you to transition from BIOVIA Request to the next-generation suite of BIOVIA products as soon as possible, so you can leverage the new capabilities we have developed and be on a fully supported replacement before Request has been officially removed from our product line. Your BIOVIA Account Manager can help you gain an in-depth understanding of the value of the new products, answer questions regarding entitlements for the new products, and help you scope project(s) with BIOVIA Services to leverage the new products in your environment.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for using BIOVIA products, and we look forward to continue providing you with outstanding software for your research needs.
