LES: Receiving ‘Access Denied’ error when launching LES application.

When launching LES application, the following error appear:

"Access Denied. Contact Administrator".


There are two possible scenario for the error –“Access Denied” to appear:

  1. The user who launched LES do not have permission to access LES. Check with the LES admin for access.
  2. If the user had permission previously but seeing this issue, then the issue could be related to recent DCOM Security patch (KB5004442).

Resolution:

Change the ‘Default Authentication Level’ from ‘None’ to ‘Connect’ on the LES Client Server. See the technote –T10-2022 for details.
