ScienceCloud's mission is to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of customer data. To help us achieve this mission and improve security on ScienceCloud, we are making changes to our password policy. This change will enhance our security measure by adjusting the password history, age, and length settings to align with complexity requirements.

As per the new policy, passwords must be compliant with the following requirements:

• Must be at least 16 characters long (any characters, no special character or number required)
• Must expire after 1 year
• Must be different from the last 5 passwords
• Must be used at least 24 hours before another change

Additionally, user accounts that are inactive for 60 days will be disabled.

This password policy will be in effect from Nov 1st, Friday 10:00 pm ET.

Note that this will effect users only at the next password change. Users are not forced to change passwords due to this change. SAML SSO Users will not be affected by this change.
