There is a change in BIOVIA ScienceCloud Information Security Management System (ISMS) process.
ScienceCloud’s mission is to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of customer data. To help us achieve this mission and improve security on ScienceCloud we are making changes to outgoing traffic from over data centers.
Over the next three months, we will be making changes to block all outgoing traffic from our data centers. We will start by blocking all outgoing traffic except on ports 80, 25 and 443. In Q1 2025 we will be blocking outgoing traffic on port 25, 80 and 443 unless requested by customer.
If your ScienceCloud hosted system needs to communicate with an external network then please create a service request or reach out to support and we will allow the required traffic. You must notify us of any outgoing traffic you want from your system. Without this notification, your outgoing traffic will be blocked and your system will be impaired.
Below is a tentative schedule to implement this change:
November 15th 10:00 pm ET to 2:00 am ET: we will be making changes to the non-prod (dev and val) system in preparation for making this change.
November 22nd 10:00 pm ET to 2:00 am ET: we will be blocking all outgoing traffic apart from port 25, 80 and 443 from the dev systems.
November 29th 10:00 pm ET to 2:00 am ET: we will be blocking all outgoing traffic apart from port 25, 80 and 443 from the val systems.
December 6th 10:00 pm ET to 2:00 am ET: we will be making changes to the prod system in preparation for making this change.
January 3rd 10:00 pm ET to 2:00 am ET: we will be blocking all outgoing traffic apart from port 25, 80 and 443 from the prod systems.
Attached is an FAQ that will help answer any questions or concerns you may have about the change.
Best regards,
The ScienceCloud Team
