BioReg users attempting to launch the Configuration Wizard during an upgrade might sometimes find that it does not launch. One of the reasons could be that the user belongs to a group that lacks the proper permissions to access the wizard. In order to run the Biological Registration Configuration Wizard, the user must have the following permissions:
Platform/Administration/Logon
Biological Registration/Administer
See the Administrator Settings for steps to ensure that the user is in a group with these permissions.
If the problem persists even with these permissions assignment, users can check for an existing Biological Registration data source in Pipeline Pilot Admin Portal > Setup > Data Sources page. If it is present, they can delete it and then try to launch the Configuration Wizard again.
Similar permissions check and/or deletion of an existing data source is expected to work in Chemical Registration application too.
These suggestions usually resolve the problem in most cases. If they don't, BioReg users can contact BIOVIA Support for additional help.
