[App New Feature] Filter

  • Filters are no more broken when the components needed for their definition are missing
    • Ability to reroute the Filter by selecting the proposed replacing components
      • Revision
      • Evolution
      • Configured split instances

[App New Feature] ENOVIA Copy & Artwork Management and ENOVIA Copy & Artwork Composition

  • Time saving enhancements for copy management, eliminating clicks and automating manual tasks
    • Copy POA
      • Artwork copy managers can now make a copy of a POA across any node in the Brand Hierarchy, carrying forward all of the common set of elements shared between the nodes of the hierarchy resulting in a much faster setup time for similar POAs
    • Copy Element Ordering
      • Artwork copy managers now have the ability to specify the order of elements in a Copy List and a POA, with that same order being passed to the designer to ensure that copy elements of the same type are placed in the correct sequence on the artwork. E.g. When 3 warning statements are to be placed on the artwork, the artwork copy manager can specify for the designer which is to be placed first, second and third.
    • Copy List Improvements
      • Copy List authors can now specify the Instance ID and Notes on a copy list, which in turn will be copied to a POA when the Copy List is used.
      • Artwork copy managers can now manually add a copy list to a POA. Previously a copy list could be incorporated into a POA only when first generating a POA, limiting the use of copy lists when the artwork copy managers desires to start with an empty POA assembly.

[App New Feature] 3DSpace

  • Precisely define access rights to your IP taking into accounts multiple companies and organizations
    • On a given platform, in case of Companies or Organizations defined through “ENOVIA Collaboration & Approvals”, Access Rights on a given Collaborative Space can be set by taking into account this Company / Organization axis through the Advanced view in 3DSpace / Members
    • Available on the Cloud and on premises

[App New Feature] ENOVIA IP Classification

  • User Experience convergence
    • Previous behavior required a Librarian user to have a very restrictive access control. Baseline Behavior “owner” role of the Collaborative Space of the data was needed in order to classify it in a library, once the data had reached a “Release” maturity status.
    • New behavior defines a control access for the Librarian user more aligned with customers’ business processes since the « Leader role » is now sufficient to classify a « Release » data.

[App New Feature] Collaborative Lifecycle Management/Change Maturity

  • Ease user productivity for promote scenarios with controls
    • Compatibility with Baseline rule “Reject if any of the Governed Children is not on Target State”
    • Ensure automatic promote of whole Product Structure in one step
    • Support of Change Management scenarios with large Product Structure

[App New Feature] Exchange Management/Import/Export 3DXML file

  • 3DDrive integration in Unified import/export experience
    • Ability to import or export, by using 3DDrive integration

[New Feature] in role Engineering Adapter for xPDM

Description:

  • Exchange on configuration data
    • Capability to create a Configuration Dictionary from a XPDMXML file
      • Restrictions :
        • Only one hardware product
        • No revision of hardware product

[App New Feature] DELMIA Wire EDM Machining

  • Enable NC users to benefit from advanced and easy-to-use Wire EDM manufacturing techniques. This function provides off-line programming capabilities of conventional EDM machines with dedicated wire EDM strategies:
    • 2X & 4X contouring
    • “Destruct cut”

[App New Feature] DELMIA Additive Part Preparation

  • It allows the user to estimate the cost of a build tray at different stage of the process definition. The function provides the capability to compute the print time and cost of the build defined in the application.
    • Capability to create reusable print time and cost estimation rules
    • Capability to have the result for one or multiple parts or the whole build tray

Note: this new feature also concerns the app DELMIA Powder Bed Fabrication available in the role Additive Manufacturing Programmer (AMP)

[New Role] Fatigue Specialist (FGA)

Fatigue Specialist (FGA) is a Role Option that uses fatigue simulation to predict accurate fatigue lives ensuring complex engineering products are designed for durability.

When subject to cyclic loads that repeat time after time, component parts can suffer from fatigue failure in which small amounts of damage from each load cycle accumulates over many thousands or millions of cycles to cause fatigue failure. Fatigue simulation extends ordinary stress analysis to provide estimates of the lifecycle for components subjected to such cyclic loads. Fatigue simulation can therefore be a valuable addition to simulation best-practices to detect improper design, reduce fatigue failures and warranty costs, and produce fatigue-resistant components the first time
Fatigue Specialist (FGA) is an Extension Role that enables the user to define and conduct fatigue loading models and scenarios. Fatigue lifecycle output results are calculated based on the fatigue characteristics of the material. Special fatigue algorithms (David: describe a couple of them by name) developed over many decades of fatigue science provide accurate fatigue estimates for multi-axial load cases for many different types of commonly used engineering materials
Fatigue Specialist benefits from Simulation Data Science capabilities enabling all simulation activities, models, and results to be linked, traced, managed, updated, published, re-used, and analyzed with ease by all impacted users.

Fatigue Specialist is an Extension Role for the following:

  • Mechanical Analyst (SMU)
  • Structural Stress Engineer (DRD)

See the video demonstration

BenefitsHighlights
  • Analyze assemblies of different parts, surface finishes and materials to assess fatigue life, factor of strength and probabilities of survival
  • Increase confidence designs will pass their test schedules
  • Include manufacturing effects such as residual stresses from a stamped or formed part, or the material variation effects in casting and forgings
  • Understand which loading events/cases have the biggest impact on fatigue life
  • Achieve a target design life, showing clearly where the component is under strength or where material and weight can be saved
  • Minimize product recalls and warranty costs
  • Define fatigue loading and attributes and predict number of repeats to failure
  • Calculates fatigue lives producing contour plots to reveal fatigue lives and crack sites
  • Integration with Structural and Mechanical Scenario creation
  • Automated execution chaining of Structural (Abaqus) and Durability (fe-safe) analyses
  • Fatigue loading can be defined by: -Any number of events, accounting for inter-event transition cycles, -Superposition, -Sequence of (stress or stress+strain) frames,-Pre-loading or manufacturing effects
  • Multiple structural analyses may drive a single fatigue event
  • Critical plane algorithms: Brown-Miller/Morrow, Principal Strain/Morrow, and Cast Iron/SWT
