An important update regarding prerequisites for SOLIDWORKS Connected and SOLIDWORKS Connector or Add-In is - 

🔥 No requirement of JAVA installation.

Starting with 2022x FD03, the installation for SOLIDWORKS uses a non-Java-based services for PLM, which reduces one step before installation.

Previously (Before FD03), the correct version of the JAVA Runtime Environment was required to be installed.
