Supported by the Barcelona Free Trade Zone consortium together with the HP company, the technological R&D Institute Leitat, has developed the first industrialized respirator to support hospitals during the COVID19 epidemic crisis. LEITAT designed a respirator that can be printed in 3D to make it available quickly and efficiently to the healthcare system, which lacks sufficient respirators given the current emergencies and the concentration of patients that require these devices. In the coming week, they will produce between 50 and 100 respirators per day. The capacity of producing these devices at a larger scale and quicker pace is essential in this moment. This, can save lives.
