Mixing Parameters

Hi guys,

I have been considering whether there are identifiable correlations and sensitivities between the various cave-mixing parameters and their downstream impact on the production schedule. For example, if we increase the Mixing Horizon, which other parameters or model behaviours are consequently affected, and how does this ultimately influence the scheduled tonnes, grade, dilution, recovery, and timing of draw?

I am also interested in understanding whether similar relationships exist within the Marker Mixing parameters—that is, how changes to individual parameters interact with one another and how sensitive the resulting depletion and scheduling outcomes are to those changes.

From what I have observed, the current calibration process appears to be largely iterative, where parameters are progressively adjusted through trial and error until the model reproduces the observed cave behaviour for a particular historical timeframe with reasonable accuracy. It would therefore be valuable to understand whether we can establish a more systematic parameter-sensitivity and correlation framework, rather than relying predominantly on iterative calibration, to identify which parameters have the greatest influence on cave-flow behaviour and the resulting schedule.
