I have just loaded the free 2D DraftSight onto a new iMac running OS10.13.1

When I create a new drawing, I have full use of the "Tool Matrix" from creation, through saving, and until I close.

However, when I re-open this or any drawing, the "Tool Matrix" is greyed out and inoperative; even though the drawing and editing functions are still working fine from the top toolbar.

Can anyone tell me how to keep the "Tool Matrix" functional all the time?
