I need some real help here. PLEASE HELP THIS IS VERY DIFFICULT !

I AM AN EXPERIENCED USER BUT THIS IS STUMPING ME

Running Draftsight 2018 with sp2, windows 10

open drawing file, then copy and paste it as a block. The drawing is a title symbol and when pasted as a block it is an editable block where I can type in parameters...so I have attached screen shots to show the problem. program gets in an endless loops of errors and I must shut down using program manager.

this does not happen at my work location where I still have 2017 version. Also I have noticed that when I go to linetypes file, there is no graphic or description for a solid line.

the only line style in drawing..solid..linetypes listed only by layer, by block, and continuous solid line.
