I use AutoCAD at work, and downloaded Draftsight Free in order to work at home. Right off the bat, I notice some apparent shortcomings, while I wonder if the Pro version will be better. Two examples: (1) the TEXTALIGN command is missing; how do I align text? (2) a rectangle has no handles at the center of its sides for resizing; I've had to drag one corner to a specific point, and then drag another corner to an aligned position, which is silly when you compare to any decent graphics application. It's as if AutoCAD has copyrights on certain features. I'd be willing to pay for the Pro version if it doesn't have such deficiencies compared to AutoCAD. Any insight will be appreciated.
