I'm interested to start using DraftSight 3D, but after some reading I found that only dxf/dwg is supported, not a 3D format like step. Unless there is a way to share the 3D drawings created in DraftSight 3D with other 3D software like our (CNC) AlphaCam we can not use DraftSight 3D in our system.

Does anyone know that there is a way to import "real" 3D information from DraftSight 3D into AlphaCam. I know that AlphaCam can import DXF, but unless I'm 100% sure that a real 3D model is imported using the dxf (and NOT some sort of 2D layout of the 3D drawing), DraftSight 3D is not for us.
