There are some cases where you need to use advanced selection filters for measuring inside a part. For example, trying to measure the maximum distance between a point and a curve. As we know, to measure between the point and the curve itself (not its center point), one must select "any geometry, infinite" in the Measure panel.

Since R2024x, by default,  the advanced selection filters are not displayed any more in the Measure in Part panel:
