Hello,
Today I wanted to present a methodology that I have been applying for years when creating templates, whether these be power copies, user features, engineering templates or even in some of my design sequences with Visual Scripting.
When you instantiate a template and comes the step where you select geometric inputs, sometimes you may have to click on the red/green arrow showing the orientation of that input and depending on the selection, the result of your template is different.
The orientation selection can not be implemented in an automation process. However what you can do is to better control the result of your construction, irrespective of the orientation of the inputs.
The video below presents this methodology. Sorry it is quite long (10min approx), but I shortened it to the best I could.
