Workbook Task Plan: How to Export to CSV/Excel and Copy/Copy With Headers

Workbook Task Plan - Export

To export material, sample, task or result, select what you would like to export, right click to pop up the option to Export, hover over CSV Export or Excel Export (.xlsx) and left-click to select. It is intended to popup a SaveAs dialog box to allow you to select file location and File type, enter the File name, then Save it.

In Workbook 2022 if there are "No Rows To Show" (no grid) then it will bring up the SaveAs dialog box, where you can then proceed to Save a blank spreadsheet.

Due to an issue in the Workbook Task Plan grid, if you select something clicking CSV Export or Excel Export does nothing. It will not bring up the SaveAs dialog box. Exporting data as CSV or Excel does not currently work within a Workbook 2022 Task Plan grid. The export works correct when the Task Plan is opened in the browser, but not directly in Workbook.

The workaround is to use the "Open in Browser" button and export using the browser interface. Please note in the browser there is no SaveAs dialog box, instead it will write over any previous export.csv or export.xlsl file in your Downloads folder.

Workbook Task Plan - Copy

To copy or copy with headers, select a component cell, the entire row, or several rows using checkboxes. It is intended to copy the data to your clipboard for paste elsewhere. Due to the same issue this does not currently work within a Workbook 2022 Task Plan grid. "Copy" and "Copy With Headers" works correct when the Task Plan is opened in the browser, but not directly in Workbook.

The workaround is to use the "Open in Browser" button and use "Copy" and "Copy With Headers" using the browser interface.
