In order to preview of DWG file saved on the platfrom below conditions should be met:
- DWG file should be saved from to collaborative space from DraftSight using save option
Derived Format Converter should be installed on the computer where DWG file is being saved. Derived format converter is used to generate display data, so that it will be displayed in 3DPLay. Hence at least one installation of derived fornat converter is needed when a data is saved and not on each machine that consumes the data. For example: If I am the only DraftSight author, and I install/run Derived Format Converter, then all my DWG’s saved afterwards will be viewable in 3DPlay. DFC generates the viewer data at the time of Save, so others do not need it again later.
Appropriate rule should be set in Derived Format Management section on platform for DraftSight derived data conversion as below:
