Troubleshooting DraftSight installation error 1721

This error occurs because of an incomplete reinstallation of DraftSight®.

To troubleshoot the error, use the Windows® Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter to completely uninstall all versions of the DraftSight® software.

  1. Visit the following link from the Microsoft® website:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall

  1. Click Download troubleshooter.
  2. Open the download file to run the troubleshooter.
  3. Click Uninstall.
  4. On the program selection page, select DraftSight and follow the prompts to complete the uninstall process.
  5. Reinstall the DraftSight® software.
