Troubleshooting DraftSight instabilities and display issues:

Suggestion1:

Issues like mouse lag/freeze/instability/unable to launch application are historically associated with Graphics device drivers not being up to date hence please make sure that your device drivers are up to date. 

To check if this issue is related to the graphics card driver try performing the below test 
1. Open the Device Manager (you can find it by going to the Start menu and typing "Device Manager" into the Search programs and files box.
2. Expand the Display adapters node
3. Right-click on the adapter (e.g. NVIDIA) 
4. Click on Disable 
5. Try to reproduce the problem you are trying to solve…

TIP: Don’t forget to go back and re-enable your display adapter.
If disabling a particular graphics adapter helps to resolve the issue then it is most likely due to the graphics card hence it's recommended to update the graphics card driver.

Suggestion2:

In some cases setting DraftSight graphics profile to Compatibility or Angle also resolves the display or instability issues:

Steps to set DraftSight graphics profile to Compatibility: 

1. Launch DraftSight

2. Type _openglprofile>enter

3. In Graphics information window select OpenGL Compatibility from the list>apply>ok

4. Restart the application and check.

Steps to set DraftSight graphics profile to Angle:

1. Launch DraftSight

2. Type _openglprofile>enter

3. In Graphics information window, go to Angle options>Software>apply>ok

4. Restart the application and retest the behavior.
