Prior DraftSight 2021 it was required to purchase a separate plugin to import PDF files in DraftSight. The plugin is available to download on Graebert website: https://www.graebert.com/in/cad-software/plugins-for-draftsight/

Starting from 2021 the functionality is included in DraftSight Premium and Enterprise Plus packages. In 2022 version PDF import is available in Enterprise Package as well. Other packages (Standard\\Professional\\) do not have this functionality available by default however they can still purchase it as a separate plugin and use it. If you are unable to use this plugin, here are some points that need to be checked in such cases:
1. Correct version of the plugin is being installed:
For DraftSight 2021 SP2 its required to install ‘PDF Import Neo for DraftSight’ of version 2021SP2+ from the Graebert website:

2. Make sure to clean up older version plugin files before installing the newer version:

Files are located at:
C:\\Program Files\\Dassault Systemes\\DraftSight\\bin\\addins\\PDFImportNeo

C:\\ProgramData\\Dassault Systemes\\DraftSight\\addinConfigs\\PDFImportNeo.xml

(DraftSight clean reinstall should clear all above files.)

3. Check under plugins menu:

After installation PDF Import will be available under the Plugins menu. (Make sure to enable PDF Import Neo from add-ins list if plugins menu is not visible)

To use the plugin it necessary to either activate the license key or use it as a trial version (30day).​​​​​​​
