There are some panels in task pane or add-ins that you may not be using frequently and want a way to permanently disable them like: 3DContentCentral\\HomeByMe\\GcodeGenerator\\Home palette and some of these items tries to access network and can slow down DraftSight loading process.​​​​​​​

There are 3 ways to do it:

1. You can simply right click on DraftSight menu bar and disable these items from the list as below: 

However this will be temporary and panels will appear again after DraftSight restart because these add-ins are still enabled in DraftSight add-ins list.

2. Disable from add-ins list: When you disable item from the add-ins list those items will not appear again in task pane after restart. To do this:
Type _ADDINS in command line. Disable Items that are not necessary from the list. Make sure to disable them from active and startup so that they will not be loaded after restart.

In order to enable\\disable add-ins from the add-in list user will need full permissions to below folder:

C:\\ProgramData\\Dassault Systemes\\DraftSight\\addinConfigs

In case of un-sufficient permissions user will be prompted with error and will not able to do any modifications in the add-in list.

3. Changing panel visibility for all UI Profiles: Some-times although we remove the items from add-ins list\\context menu these items still appear in DraftSight after changing the UI Profile. (i.e. Classic to Drafting Annotation or Classic to 3D Modelling).This is because disabling add-in in one UI profile is not sufficient. Visibility of panels is restored from 'Elements visibility' when switch back workspace hence these items needs to be removed from all UI Profiles as below:

Type _CUSTOMIZE in command line>go to UI Profiles>Elements and uncheck panels from each UI Profile.

In some cases if user do not have administrative permissions on his system he may not be able to do changes in UI hence we need to make sure that user has full permissions to below directories:

C:\\Users\\[username]\\AppData\\Roaming\\DraftSight

C:\\ProgramData\\Dassault Systemes\\DraftSight

C:\\Program Files\\Dassault Systemes\\DraftSight
