Piping Setup – Methodology Guide – Major update based on R2025x Hotfix 6
 

Hello Piping Lovers, Piping Discovers and the ones looking to expand their knowledge,

Story started from a question: Which materials I should use to learn 3DEXPERIENCE Piping Setup from scratch? DS companion training, DS Methodological guides. All had some advantage and inconvenient

  • to complex

  • need to start with some existing data

  • not up to date

The aim of this methodology guide is; starting from scratch (empty environment), be able to define a piping setup, a library with piping parts, a piping specification with  design rules and get the basic understanding of what should be implemented for valuable Piping 3D Design.

 

Special Thanks to @XB , who took the challenge to train himself, and in the mean time update and upgrade an old methodological guide. In addition he was also providing all Piping Resources tables & Piping Part Design Tables used to build the examples.

Note : In this methodology we are using ENOVIA Library to organise the Piping 3D Part because it is the strategic 3DS recommendation for customer implementation. But off course you can continue to use the "old fashion" CATIA Catalog
