Introduction

Layer usage in P&ID is still not GA in 24x and we don't know when it will become GA 

It can be used with Environement variable : RFLP_SCH_LAYERS=1

Instead of layer , you can use Multiple View.

The advantage of Layers is that :

• the data from the different layers can be connected
• you can more easily move element from one layer to another afterward

note: layer information is store at the View level--> if you copy the view the layeur information is maintain for the elements represented in the view

Automatic association to Layer

In the upper video we are associating manually the text or symbol to Layers.

In fact when administrator defines the text template, for each you can decide what will be the target layer when placing it. By doing that ech will comes automaticaly.
