Hinged door Parameters:

Mark: Free text parameter to record any project specific identifier for the door instance. Analogous to the “Mark” property in other BIM platforms.

Comments: Free text parameter to record any additional information for door instance.

Material: Sets the material applied to the door models, with available options of “Stainless Steel”, “Lead”, “Wood” and “Glass”. Setting “Glass” will change the panel to a glass door panel.

Number of panels: Determines the number of door panels with available choices of 1 or 2.

Panel width ratio: Only modifies 2 panel doors. This is the ratio between the 2 door panel widths. At 0.5, the door panels are equal width and reducing the value will make the door panel closest to the wall end smaller. The parameter can be set to any value between 0.2 and 0.8.

Door height: Distance from the floor to the inside face of the door frame.

Door width: The horizontal distance between the inside face of the door frame.

Jamb width: The door frame width.

Jamb depth: The door frame depth, parallel with the egress direction.

Panel thickness: The door panel thickness.

Hinge side: Only modifies single panel doors, with “Left” and “Right” as available options. Dictates the swing direction and which side the door hinges would be mounted. This is viewed from side where the door panel is swinging away from the user.

Bottom clearance: The clearance between the door panel bottom and the floor. This does not affect the door height.

Door swing direction: Determines which side of the wall that the door can swing towards, with available options of “In”, “Out” and “Both”. This also modifies the hinge type and which side of the wall the hinges are mounted on. The “In” and “Out” options function the same way as setting the “Wall side”.

Open angle: Determines if the door in 3D is opened. This value can vary between 0 and 90, with 0 being closed and 90 being fully opened.

Lites: Adds a window to each door panel. With choices of “None”, “Circular”, “Rectangular”, “Square” and “Door wide horizontal rectangle”. Will not generate windows if the door material is set to “Glass”.

Lite position: Sets the window position on the door panel, with available options of “Center”, “Handle Side” and “Hinge Side”. “Handle Side” offsets the window onto the door panel half closest to the door handle and “Hinge Side” offsets onto the opposite half that is closest to the door hinges.

Lite size: Sets the window size, with choices of “Small”, “Medium” and “Large”. “Medium” is the base case and set the window width (or diameter for circular windows) to 200mm. “Small” and “Large” are 40% smaller and larger respectively. For “Rectangular” windows, the vertical height dimension is 2.5 times the window width. This parameter is not applied when the “Door wide horizontal rectangle” option is selected. For “Door wide horizontal rectangle”, the window height is 28in and the width is the panel width minus 200mm.

Hinges: Controls how many instances of hinge the geometry is generated in the 3D. Available choices are “None”, “2”, “3” and “4”. Choosing “None” will remove all hinge geometry from the 3D and the 2D drafting symbol.

Accessible: Sets the door handle size, with available choices of “Regular” and “Disability”. The “Disability” option generates larger door handle models for the “Lever” and “Vertical Bar” door handle options. For other door handles choices, the parameter does not modify the geometry.

2D symbol: Enables the 2D drafting symbol in the model. Enabling this checkbox will also hide the geometry in the higher level of development models.

2D symbol open position: Modifies the 2D drafting symbol to show the door fully opened.

Door handle: Selects the door handle model from the available choices of “Lever”, “Emergency Bar”, “Push Pull Latch” and “Vertical Bar”.

Panel edges: Choose between “Normal” and “Overlay”. “Overlay” will add a small overlap between the door panel and door frame on the hinge and top edge of the door panel and move the door hinges to a different position. This also makes the door geometry only open in a single direction even if the “Door swing direction” is set to “Both”.

Door edges: For information only, available options of “Normal” and “Overlay”. To document if there is an overlap on the door handle edge of the door panel.

Peephole: Adds the peephole geometry to the 3D model. Does not add the peephole geometry if the door material is set to glass or if the door windows are enabled.

Peephole type: Information only, choose between “F+P M. Silver” and “F+P M. Brass”.

Flush bolts: Adds the flush bolt geometry to all door panels.

Kick plate: Enables the kick plate geometry, with options of “None”, “Standard”, “Extended” and “Mop”.

Closer: Choose between “None” and “Automatic closing mechanism”, this adds the closer 3D model.

Lock: Enables the lock model.

Lock types: Information only, choose between “BCC”, “SUR”, “SUR 120def Axis”, “3 points A2P* V. 5000”, “3 points B. 81.50” and “3 points A2P* B. 81.61”.

Lock reinforcement: Information only, choose between “None”, “1 point”, “3 points” and “5 points”.

Drop seal type: Enables the drop seal geometry. Options are “Hardwood threshold”, “Sealed elsewhere”, “Painted steel threshold”, “Brush seal” and “None”. Choosing “None” will remove the drop seal geometry and there is no visible difference between the other choices reflected in the 3D. The drop seal geometry also only be generated if the “Bottom clearance” is greater than 0mm.

Type of fixing: Information only, choose between “Plasterboard”, “White finish”, “Door frame and counter-frame”, “Tunnel frame”, “Drywall partition system with Omega profiles”, Precast plaster blocks” and “Renovation”.

Bottom fixings: Information only, choose between “None”, “2” and “4”.

Acoustic performance: Information only, choose between “N/A”, “30dB”, “64dB” and “90dB”.

Fire rating: Information only, choose between “Not rated”, “E15”, “E30”, “E60”, “E130”, and “E160”.

Anti-lift pins: Information only, choose between “None”, “2”, “3” and “4”.

Finish: Information only, choose between “Painted” and “Glossy white – RAL9016”.

Type of wood frame: Information only, choose between “Hardwood”, “Softwood”, “Softwood – 28dB rated”, “Hardwood – 28dB rated”, “Hardwood – 38dB rated”, “Hardwood – 40dB rated” and “Hardwood – 38dB rated – CL3”.

Type of frame: Information only, choose between “Unpainted”, “Laminated wood”, “2 profile molding” and “3 profile molding”.

Door facing: Information only, choose between “Unpainted”, “Laminated wood”, “2 profile molding” and “3 profile molding”.
