I am currently using the JH-2 model in Abaqus for ceramic modeling through the built-in material subroutine. However, I have encountered an issue with the FS parameter, which must be specified.

The simulation results are highly sensitive to this parameter. For example, when I set FS = 2.0, the ceramic exhibits unrealistically ductile behavior, resembling that of metals. In contrast, using FS = 0.2 leads to excessive element deletion. Despite its apparent importance, most studies employing the JH-2 model do not explicitly report the value used for this parameter.

I would greatly appreciate any clarification on the physical meaning and role of the FS parameter within the model, as well as guidance on how it should be properly selected or calibrated.
