I am currently running a quasi-static compression simulation of a TPMS (Triply Periodic Minimal Surface) lattice structure using Abaqus/Explicit, and I am encountering a severe mesh penetration issue immediately after element deletion is triggered.

Setup:

• Mesh: C3D10M, 0.2 mm, distortion control ON,element deletion ON.

• Material: J-C plasticity + J-C damage initiation + displacement-based evolution (0.02 mm).

• Contact: General contact, hard normal, friction 0.15.

Issue:

• ①: Top layer elements deleted (STATUS=0).

• ②: The rigid surface continued to press down, and then the grid model penetrated the rigid surface.

• ③:I attempted to conduct the test using a cylinder, but the same phenomenon of penetration occurred.
