Respected friends,

I am working with an injection-molded composite containing short fibers (i.e., the fibers are not continuous and do not extend from end to end). Due to the non-uniform fiber distribution, the material exhibits spatially varying properties, making the structure quite complex.

I have an initial crack in the model and would like to predict the probable crack propagation path. There is no predefined path (I do not know what direction the crack may take) and am afraid I cant use the VCCT or the Cohesive approaches. 

Could you please advise whether Abaqus provides any techniques or approaches to perform such an analysis?
