I am currently making a conscious effort to transition to Draft Sight 2025  from Autocad ( LT mostly for previous 20 years) and its very free friend Nanocad 5, effectively LT2014

I think there are some settings I cant find there are three things that have a big step backwards in the productivity for what I use cad for , typically very simple 2 d dxf patterns for laser cutting each drawing less than 10 mins.

1. Line length and angle are prohibited from change in the properties  tab, is there a permission setting for this? 
2. The copy and the mirror commands always change the output to the current layer rather than copying the elements with their respective layers if you use control c control v paste the layers remain intact however placement is a two step process copy then move as there is no handle.
3. When the layers display various colours ( standard by layer layer colour set to basic magenta green yellow etc no custom colours used) , some layers some of the time in zoom out change to white on the display, this is extremely unhelpful, is there some graphics accelerator setting  or other flaw that is causing this?

Apologies that this seems like mostly user inaptitude, however I don’t remember any of these things in the previous version since 2022, although use had been minimal as only required it for clients who sent 2018 format drawings or dxf’s
