I am currently working on a case where a customer used to work with CATIA V5R2019 and send files to their supplier using CATIA V6R2013, which worked without issues.

Now, the customer is planning to move to CATIA V5-6R2025, and the question is whether this same compatibility still applies for sending files to the supplier.

From what I understand, it should be technically possible as only the final geometry is recovered, without the original design intelligence (features, sketches, constraints, parameters, formulas, etc.).
In this way, the supplier can still visualize and reuse the geometry in assemblies, but they won’t be able to modify the design intent directly.

Could someone confirm whether this assumption is correct or clarify whether there are other restrictions I should be aware of ?
