Hello,

I am using 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA for Students. I need to upload and work with this model for my master’s thesis.

I imported a V5 assembly, then realized it was not the latest version. I opened the imported product and used the Collaborative Lifecycle app to delete it.

i am also attaching another screenshot showing that the deleted product still appears in Recent Content. However, when I click it, the system displays the message “The object has been deleted.”

In addition, I am attaching a screenshot from the import window. In the Files to Process list, all files are marked with:

• Action: no Import

• Context: COEXISTENCE

• Status for similar documents: Identical

At the bottom, the message says: “All documents have already been imported.”

I am also attaching screenshots of the import settings and the import progression when I try the Update route.

In that attempt, I set the similar document options to Update for:

• Newer Files

• Identical Files

• Older Files

The import then starts generating 3DEXPERIENCE components, but stops responding during this stage. The progress window shows “Import Progression (Not Responding)” during “Generation of 3DEXPERIENCE components” for the CATProduct.

This means the platform still recognizes the assembly and its parts as already imported, even though the deleted product is no longer usable, and the update-based reimport also hangs.

What I need help with:

1. How to fully remove the previously imported objects and any related import or mapping state

2. Why the system still detects all files as Identical and already imported after the product was deleted

3. Why the deleted object still appears in Recent Content even though clicking it gives the message “The object has been deleted”

4. Why the import stops responding during Generation of 3DEXPERIENCE components when I choose Update

5. What is the correct workflow in 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA Student when I only have 3DEXPERIENCE installed and do not have CATIA V5

System / context:

• Product: 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA for Students

• Only 3DEXPERIENCE installed, no CATIA V5

• Source data: V5 assembly

• Old imported product deleted through Collaborative Lifecycle

• Deleted object still appears in Recent Content but reports as deleted when clicked

• Reimport still detects all files as already imported / identical

• Reimport with Update stops responding during component generation

Please let me know the exact steps needed to fully clean/reset this import state and import the correct assembly successfully.
