Converting Simulation Results into Manufacturable CAD Geometry


The process steps shown in the video:

1-Finite Element Analysis: Performed a sheet metal bending simulation using SIMULIA ABAQUS.
2-Data Export: Exported the resulting deformed (bent) geometry as an OBJ mesh file.
3-Reverse Engineering: Used Geomagic for SOLIDWORKS to reference the analyzed mesh and re-design the part with high precision.
4-Final Design : Converted the model into a parametric part using SOLIDWORKS Sheet Metal features, ensuring it is fully capable of generating an accurate flat pattern for production.
