Hello Community Folks,
I am looking for guidance on how to display the EIN (Engineering Item Number) and revision in a SolidWorks Drawing title block, sourced from 3DX.
Environment:
Version: On-prem R2025x FD03, Trigram: UES
Our workflow:
1. Create a Part in SolidWorks and save to 3DX.
2. Issue an EIN on the Part.
3. Create a SolidWorks Drawing with a title block.
4. We need the EIN and Revision from 3DX to populate in the Drawing title block automatically.
I looked at the Attribute Mapping in the Collaborative Spaces Configuration Center (CAD Collaboration → SolidWorks → Attribute Mapping). The EIN is not available in the Physical Product attribute dropdown for mapping. I understand how SolidWorks custom properties work and how to link them to title blocks using \\\$PRP:"PropertyName" but the missing piece is how to get the EIN value from 3DX into a SolidWorks custom property via the connector.
Is there a way to map the EIN field to a SolidWorks custom property through the Attribute Mapping configuration? If not, what is the recommended approach to sync the EIN from 3DX to SolidWorks so it can be referenced in the Drawing title block?
Thanks for reading this. Really appreciate your response on this.
Regards
Surendra
