Ortems SolutionUpdate
With the release of DELMIA Ortems 2021 Refresh6 (=Fix 2134), the entire listed enhancements are available in order to improve Ortems user experience.
- When saving a simulation, having selected the currently used simulation by default in the list
- In Planning status bar, a tooltip text information is display with the full name of the simulation
- Ctrl+S = shortcut for collaborative users to confirm their modifications
- Escape key = Shortcut to escape actions (eg: Highlighting)
When saving a simulation, having selected the currently used simulation by default in the list
Before the Refresh 6, when a simulation was saved: the first selection available was sorted in alphabetical order, which could lead to issues.
Reminder:
All information concerning simulation are available in our Best Practice:
Simulations in DELMIA Ortems - Description, Usage and Technical Design
To save the current plan as a simulation, from the menu bar, select File > Save Simulation.
Since Refresh6, the currently used simulation is proposed by default
In Planning status bar, a tooltip text information is display with the full name of the simulation
When managing simulations, we may need to use a name quite long, up to 30 characters.
The status bar displays the name of the current simulation (or "ENCOURS" is we are working on WIP) but the number of characters displayed may not be big enough.
Ctrl+S = shortcut for collaborative users to confirm their modifications
The Collaborative cannot save WIP (Work In Process) or simulations. Instead, the collaborative user has CONFIRM MODIFICATION: this feature stores actions so that a planner can later enforce them by saving WIP or the simulation.
(more information about the collaborative work available here.
With the refresh 6 of Ortems R2021, the shortcut is now available (Ctrl+S) to save modification. This action is available when at least one collaborative action has been store.
(This shortcut is the same used by a Planner user to Save WIP).
Escape key = Shortcut to escape actions (ig: Highlighting)
Using a highlighting (ex: Static links, WO…) changed the capability of the left click, it was needed to, cancel or modify the selection if you aimed to invalidate the capability.
The Echap key shortcut is now available: it cancels the capability chosen.
