DELMIA Ortems R2026: a new MRP policy refrains from generating readjusted WOs during SRP calculation (“SP mode”)

With DELMIA Ortems 2026, it's now possible to prevent the generation of readjusted orders for compound items during SRP calculations. This feature, also known as 'SP Mode', can be enabled at the Semi-Finished (SF) component level via a new MRP policy.

This new setting is exclusively applicable to SF items.

1/            New MRP policy

The “Generation margin without readjusted WO creation” policy allows to avoid creating readjusted work orders (WOs) for semi-finished goods (SF) during the SRP calculations.

This policy is set at the item level within the Data Module application, specifically under the "Mngment Policy" tab.

New policy “Generation margin without readjusted WO creation”

2/            Use Case

This policy prioritizes the integration of current semi-finished (SF) items WOs with finished product (FP) or SF WOs in the planning during the SRP phase. This is particularly beneficial when customers manage their Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) through their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, rather than through Ortems.

3/            Example

BOM definition

**ORANGES quantity required to produce 1 ORANGES_JUICE = 1

**LEMONS quantity required to produce 1 LEMONS_JUICE = 1

Initial situation

After SRP computation

Please note that the chosen example is intentionally simplistic. The above scenario applies equally to the links between a Semi-Finished supplied WO (compound) and a Semi-Finished supplying Work Order (component).

4/            Consequences

In the context of the “Generation margin without readjusted WO creation” policy, the SRP will not generate any readjusted WO to bridge the gap if there's insufficient quantity of SF Work Orders.

Please refer to the following example:

Initially the current SF Work Orders are insufficient to meet the finished product WO requirements.

Initial situation

Following the SRP calculation:

A readjusted WO (“R      12”) is generated to cover the LEMONS SF quantity shortage

Whereas no new ORANGE readjusted WO is generated to cover the SF quantity shortage.

In this situation, the Planning status bar will indicate an unresolved supply issue, denoted by a red cross icon

Double-clicking on this icon enables accessing more information and the 'Detailed list' button highlights the Work Orders associated with these unresolved supplies.
