Introduction:
The Fix 2121 of DELMIA Ortems R2021(8.5), available on Refresh 5, introduces 3 new collaborative actions:
- Create WO
- Split WO
- Split Operation
Those actions were already available for collaborative users, but they were not considered as collaborative actions, meaning, these actions were not shared with the other users.
What is the Collaborative mode?
Collaborative mode allows several users to make modifications on a same planning.
The modification will generate some events that can be of several types, for example Set an operation in progress (‘DEB’ event), Fix start date of an operation (‘CAL’ event), etc.
From a collaborative user, right click in a WO or Machine Gantt chart: each action, sending a collaborative event (to be shared with other users) is written “(Collab.)”. All actions are labeled on the Help and has a proper chapter for each action.
For example, a collaborative user may run a scheduling optimization, but as the “Scheduling” menu is not written “Scheduling (Collab.)”, that means the result of the scheduling cannot be shared with other users. No event is created.
Collaborative user can perform interactive follow-up and collaborative actions. This is not the saving of the planning, but a right to make some collaborative actions until they are definitely save (or rejected) by the planner.
Prerequisites:
All along this document, it is written “Collaborative user” where it is actually a Collaborative profile assigned to an environment for a user.
To be a Collaborative user on an environment, the user must be assigned with a class whose “Profile” is “COL”.
To be done or checked: launch “Environment/User Management” module > “Users” tab: look at the user on which each class is specified by environment.
Special token should be also incorporated on your license:
- OBP=>Number of PS collaborative users
- OMB=> Number of MP collaborative users
