BIOVIA provided support for ChemDraw 23 only beginning version 2024 SP1 HF1 of Insight for Excel and it will not work with earlier versions. This particular hotfix is available on the download platform under BIOVIA 2024 > BIOVIA 2024 Refresh 1 > BIOVIA 2024 Refresh 1 HF3. Users should install/upgrade to this version before testing with ChemDraw 23.

Users are requested to review the technical note "T108-2024 Notification regarding BIOVIA Insight for Excel 2024 SP1 HF1" for more information about this hotfix which was released in November 2025.

In addition, it is necessary to install both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of ChemDraw on their machines. Installing one or the other will not work and both versions are necessary.

Note that the current release Insight for Excel 2026 supports both ChemDraw 25 and 23.1.1
