Excel Adapter entries in Admin console on LES App server have a status of "Not Connected" after domain migration

Issue:

Excel Adapter entries in Admin console on LES App server have a status of "Not Connected" after domain migration

 

Solution:

The domain for LES servers had been changed to a new domain according to instructions in Technical Note T35 but afterwards Excel Adapter entries were not responding in Admin console.

-The reason Excel entries were not responding (Not Connected)  in Admin console was because the App server hostname was entered in fully qualified with domain name fashion in \\Program Files (x86)\\VelQuest\\Excel Adapter\\VelQuest.AdapterSystem.ExcelAdapter.exe.config file. This file is normally modified when the App is initially installed and usually only the short name of host without domain is entered in this file. And since the host is now part of different domain Excel connections would not recognize the old fully qualified hostname. 

-To resolve edit \\Program Files (x86)\\VelQuest\\Excel Adapter\\VelQuest.AdapterSystem.ExcelAdapter.exe.config file and remove the fully qualified domain name or enter the new domain | save the file | Restart Excel Adapter windows service on LES App server.
