Case Study 03
From Workshop to a Functional Rover Robot
The Project
Design and development of a functional Rover Robot using SOLIDWORKS, combining mechanical design, prototyping, hardware integration, and motion testing.
The Design
The mechanical system was developed with a focus on chassis structure, weight distribution, linkages, arm mechanisms, suspension behavior, and wheel traction for improved performance on uneven terrain.
From CAD to Reality
The rover was designed, tested, and prototyped through a CAD-to-real workflow, allowing the mechanical design to be evaluated and refined through hands-on testing.
The Result
A functional Rover Robot prototype that brought together mechanical design, hardware integration, and control systems.
Concept → CAD → Prototyping → Integration → Testing
My Role
Mechanical Design | Chassis & Linkage Design | Motion Testing | Prototyping | Hardware Integration
Key Takeaway
Engineering becomes real when ideas move beyond the screen and are tested in the physical world.
