Case Study 01
From Cartoon Concept to a Functional Robot
The Challenge
Transforming the BMO cartoon concept into a real robotic prototype while maintaining its recognizable appearance and integrating the required electronics, displays, motors, and wheels.
The Design
The complete mechanical structure was developed in SOLIDWORKS, with a focus on electronics integration, wheel and motor mounting, structural stability, assembly access, and 3D-printing requirements.
From CAD to Reality
The design was optimized for 3D printing, considering tolerances, clearances, fit, and manufacturability. The printed components were then assembled and validated as a physical prototype.
The Result
A complete 3D-printed BMO robotic prototype, taking the project through:
Concept → CAD → 3D Printing → Assembly → Functional Prototype
My Role
Mechanical Design | CAD Development | Assembly Validation | Print Optimization
Key Takeaway
Good mechanical design is not just about how a product looks — it’s about making the design work in the real world.
