SOLIDWORKS Surfacing workflows are the backbone of a great consumer facing product. I’ll show you my top four process that helps me create a full range of surface types. Let’s get creative with a few tools to engage your customers to your product and increase visibility. As an Industrial Designer of 26 years, I’ve completed many projects ranging from pro audio equipment to museum installations to flying cars. Form always takes center stage when drawing and then modeling for production. The modeling is always the hard part, but with various workflows, it can be made easier with surfacing tools. As an associate professor at ArtCenter College of Design, I see a large variety of designs on a weekly basis. Much more than I would at even a busy design studio. This gives me an insight on what workflows get the best results and sharpens my skills as a designer and modeler.
