SOLIDWORKS Design is Now Available for Free to Students Around the World
Starting July 1, 2026, SOLIDWORKS Design Standard for Students will be available free of charge to all students worldwide.
By making SOLIDWORKS Design freely available to students, we're giving more young innovators the opportunity to design, experiment, and build using the same professional tools trusted by millions of engineers around the world. Whether it's a passion project, building a portfolio to land your dream job, or simply learning CAD skills for the future, students can now get started with fewer barriers and more possibilities!
All MySolidWorks Lessons are Now Free to All Learners
An exciting change is coming to MySolidWorks for 2026x FD03 in July 2026. All of the MySolidWorks lessons are going to be FREE TO ALL learners. Learners will simply need a 3DEXPERIENCE ID to access the 400+ lessons on MySolidWorks along with all of the learning paths that deliver those lessons.
This aligns with a corporate decision to provide free access to most of the Online Learning Experiences, including the SOLIDWORKS Learning Library (LWKLX-OC). This change to the Online Learning Experiences will occur at 2027x GA in November 2026, along with the launch of a new "Dassault Systèmes Learning Center". There will be further announcements about that change in the future.

A: No. eCourses remain exclusive to MySolidWorks Professional until their retirement on March 1, 2027.
- Q. Does anything change for MySolidWorks Standard and MySolidWorks Student accounts?
A. No. They already have access to 100% of the Lessons, Learning Paths, and Playlists.
