The simulation of explosions in military trucks is a crucial task for meeting regulatory standards. In this presentation, we will share real-world customer (IDS - www.ids-defense.com/) models, demonstrating how to model and simulate real-world explosion environments and blast tests using 3DEXPERIENCE Simulation. First, we will show how to model explosions using explicit dynamics, incorporating regulatory standards to introduce time-pressure curves into the model. In the second part of the presentation, we will demonstrate how to apply the Coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian (CEL) approach to achieve a more detailed and accurate simulation of blast tests.
