Session Abstract

Gain the essential industry knowledge to design manufacturable sheet metal components and assemblies that fit together perfectly the first time. Learn how to use SOLIDWORKS to create intelligent sheet metal parts and efficiently and accurately document and configure multiple design variations. Then, we'll learn how to navigate sheet metal manufacturing to understand bend stretch, outsourcing, cutting methods, and bend restrictions. All attendees will receive a digital training manual packed with helpful guides and full instructions to recreate the lesson independently. Attendees will see examples of how to: Build intelligent design intent with equations and variables,  Configure product families and variations from a single base design, Understand K-Factor and bend stretch calculations for accurate flat patterns, Create drawings and flat pattern exports that are ready for manufacturing, Be more efficient in SOLIDWORKS with tips and tricks applicable to any model.
