There have been a lot of critical improvements and neat features added to document templates over the years that you are likely missing out on. After you set up your templates, it’s easy to forget them – that’s the great thing about document templates for Parts & Assemblies. But it also means that we must revisit them every few years to be sure we aren’t missing out on anything that could help us work better in SOLIDWORKS. During this presentation, we’ll be talking about things in the feature tree, configuration properties, lights, etc. (in addition to the obvious document properties) that are important and sometimes critical to get right in our templates that can make us more productive and prevent errors. Base file size, the PDM trap, and other stuff you aren’t seeing anywhere else will also be discussed. We’ll also be opening the floor for everybody to share what they have in their templates that they can’t live without!
